Dayna recently obtained summary judgment as well as sanctions
and fees against a former employee who sued her clients (a corporation and its executives).
Dayna resolved a difficult non-compete case with counterclaims on
behalf of her client; the plaintiff dismissed its claims against her client then
paid him for his counterclaims.
Dayna successfully defended a religious university client against
claims of invasion of privacy and violation of Colorado’s Legal Off-Duty Activities
statute in a Denver District Court trial.
Previous Experience
Prior to joining the firm in 2015,
Dayna worked at an employment and professional liability defense firm, She represented
clients in an array of employment-related matters that included counseling regarding
Department of Labor investigations, employment handbooks, employee disciplinary actions,
and lay-offs, She also litigated cases involving the Family Medical
Leave Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, Colorado’s
Legal Off-Duty Activities Statute, and federal discrimination statutes.
Prior to working in private
practice, Dayna served as a law clerk for Honorable R. Brooke Jackson.
