Representative Matters
• Tried a discriminatory failure to promote claim in federal court on behalf of
a large employer. The jury found for the firm’s client on all claims.
• Defended a public employer in a lawsuit under the Colorado Equal Pay for
Equal Work Act. Sarah successfully briefed novel issues of law and after years of
litigation the employer obtained an outstanding resolution.
• Served on the successful trial team representing a Colorado law firm
on a breach of contract action against a former employee in Denver District Court.
The firm’s clients were exonerated on the employees’ counterclaims.
• Successfully argued a motion to dismiss in federal court on behalf
of a staffing agency sued by a former applicant.
Previous Experience
Prior to joining the firm,
Sarah worked as a law clerk for an Administrative Law Judge with the Federal
Mine Safety and Health Review Commission. She gained experience with workplace
safety law, retaliation claims, and federal administrative hearings. She
also mediated safety violation cases between federal regulators and mine owners.
